After following the above discussion, I checked all the templates included with 2013, and out of 27 templates provided, 13 of them In the Floor Plan and Home Plan templates, which contained stencils in prior versions, but which do not in Visio Standard 2013. I also just installed Visio Standard 2013 directly from my Microsoft Account with the expectation of developing new or revising existing diagrams created from types of templates that existed in prior versions of Visio Standard.
